St. Augustine Shores
The Shores is a community for the couple seeking their first home, the couple looking to scale-down, or the professional hunting for a premier neighborhood featuring a luxury home builder.

In the late 1960's, early 1970's, Frank and Robert Mackle planned a community to be called The St. Augustine Shores. The Mackle brothers formed the Deltona Corporation to develop and manage the community located 4.5 miles south of St. Augustine, Florida, the "oldest permanent settlement in North America."

The Deltona Corporation started clearing 2020 acres of land for development, leaving many beautiful native Florida trees to add character to the community. As part of the community's plan, several parcels of land were dedicated for recreation, education, and worship facilities.  The Shores has 58 acres set aside for the development of parks and 45 acres designated for recreational sites on the Intracoastal Waterway.  A 12,000 sq. ft. recreation building is located on the waterway.
